Scuba Discovery Day – go gili diving
Ok, so you think you want to dive but you’re scared of commitment….don’t worry, we totally get it. Last time someone asked me to go on a date, the only words I could get out of my mouth were ‘I like turtles’ and then I ran away.
A Try Scuba or Scuba Discovery Day may be the best starting point. Think of it like having a few drinks at the bar before you commit to the full dinner.
We’ll start you off with an easy little intro to your equipment and gear. You’ll learn the basics of diving without going into too much detail (we don’t want to scare you). Next, we’ll jump into the pool to learn and practice a few skills. Once you’ve aced those (because of course you will), we will take you out into the open ocean and show you some pretty things so that you can relax and see how it all feels.
After we are back on land, we will see the big smile on your face since you just made friends with 4 different turtles and you can decide no thanks, I want to stay just casual friends with the ocean.
Or more likely, you can take the plunge (pun intended) and upgrade to your Open Water Certificate. The day and dive will be counted towards your course and so will the cost, easy as that!

Typical Schedule
AM: Good morning! You’ll start off with some diving knowledge info to make sure your brain is ready for your new adventure.
The next step will be putting the equipment on and getting into the pool. You’ll start to get comfortable with your new dive gear and learn some basic skills to get you comfortable with everything.
Once that’s done, let’s take a lunch break. I’m hungry.
PM: We will walk onto the beach and climb onto the dive boat. You’ll jump into the water and see how you feel. One of our crew will be right there next to you to make sure you are comfortable as you get a feel for everything. Explore and enjoy! This dive is about seeing how you feel.
Once the day is done, let’s chat and see how you feel about everything. If you want to continue onto your full Open Water Course, we make a plan to get you going which includes what you’ve already done!

We are awesome, that's why! No but in all seriousness, it's because we love what we do. Every dive school we work with has been personally checked by our team. That means we know the team, we know the managers who run the show and we've also personally been diving with them.
By having access to multiple dive schools we can help meet everyone's need when it comes to things such as language requirements, certification agency choice and more options for dive sites. Availability becomes easier which means if you name a date, there is a greater chance that we will get you the one that works for you.
What island are you located on?
We have partner dive shops on all three islands: Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno & Gili Air. So it’s totally up to you on which island you are visiting or staying at. If you can’t decide, then have a chat with us and we can point you in the right direction.
Are you more expensive?
Not at all! The majority of dive shops on the Gili Islands are a part of an organisation called GIDA (Gili Islands Dive Association) This means we are held to certain standards on the island and it also means that we all charge the same price. Even though we are technically an agency, we are not different. We have no hidden fees at all. Marine park fees and any extra charges are always included in the price so you have no surprises.
